Abstract

The method of thermochemical recuperation of high-temperature flue gas heat by combined steam-dry methane reforming is considered. Thermodynamic analysis of the process of methane reforming with a mixture of carbon dioxide and steam is carried out using the Gibbs energy minimization method to determine the effect of operational parameters such as temperature, pressure and composition of the initial mixture on reaction products. Calculations are performed for different compositions of the initial gas mixture at a total pressure of 0.1 to 2.0 MPa, temperatures from 200 to 1200 °C. It is shown that the equilibrium concentration of methane reforming products depends only on the temperature, pressure and composition of the initial reaction mixture, and is independent of the chemical reactions that occur. The thermodynamic analysis is performed using the simulation system of stationary and non-stationary technological processes of oil and gas processing ASPEN-HYSYS.
