Abstract

Synthesis of highly efficient high-temperature CO2 adsorbents from organo-layered double hydroxides (LDHs) is presented for the first time. We demonstrate that the intercalation of long carbon-chain organic anions markedly increases the CO2 capture capacity (1.25 mmol g-1), 2.5 times higher than that of traditional adsorbents (0.5 mmol g-1). This work suggests a new direction for the synthesis of high-temperature CO 2 adsorbents.
