Abstract

Interactions between laser beams and plasma are widely studied, mostly with short pulses [1]. Here, we use an experimental setup where the most important instrument is a CW whispering-gallery mode micro-cavity with plasma inside. As one can see in figure 1 , the plasma is electrically ignited between two electrodes inside a bubble resonator [2] - [4] filled with low-pressure argon while the evanescent field of the resonating light ( Fig. 1 c) overlaps with the plasma.
