Abstract
A three-variable model that includes a diffusing and fast activator, a localized and slow inhibitor and a third variable that provides immediate long-range interaction is used to simulate spatiotemporal formation on a disk. We study breakup of target and spiral waves due to changing a parameter that breaks the inversion symmetry of the model.
