Abstract

We perform multifractal analysis of the reaction probability distribution of two related structures, a Cantor set and a related devil's staircase, with an Eley-Rideal diffusion limited catalytic reaction mechanism. We find that the f(α) profiles are significantly different even though these two objects are rather similar. Analysis of object size-effect indicates multifractal scaling of the distribution of reaction probability in these structures which are commonly found in metal catalysts.
