    Overview

Yuanshen Qi received his BEng (Hons) in Materials Science and Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology and Monash University, and Ph.D. from Monash University in 2016. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology before joining GTIIT as an associate professor in October 2020. At the GTIIT, Dr. Qi’s lab (Electrically-assisted Nanometallurgy) focuses on utilizing electric current to control the evolution of crystal lattice defects. Expertise in electron microscopy and physical metallurgy enables the in-depth investigation of electroplasticity and electromigration phenomena at the nanoscale. Research thrust is initiated on manufacturing unprecedented metallic nanostructures for structural and biological applications and improving the performance and stability of nanoelectronic materials.
