Abstract

Pd complexes prepared in situ from PdCl(Me)(diimine) and NaBARF (BARF = [B{C6H3(CF3)2-3,5} 4]-) initiate cyclopolymerization of isopropylidene diallylmalonate (I) in CH2Cl2 to produce poly-I containing trans-1,2-disubstituted cyclopentane groups.
