Abstract

Flower-like CuO microspheres synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method were found to be an effective catalyst for the Rochow reaction with a higher dimethyldichlorosilane selectivity and Si conversion because of the enhanced formation of an active Cu xSi phase and mass transport.
