Abstract

The adsorption of Th(η3-allyl)4 on dehydroxylated alumina yields an active catalyst for the exchange of alkane and cycloalkane C-H bonds with D2. C-H reactivities fall in the order primary > secondary > tertiary and less sterically hindered > more sterlcally hindered.
