Abstract

Environmental proteomics is an inter-discipline between environmental sciences and proteomics. Its target is to research the principles and techniques for protein expression under polluted environment. The techniques of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, protein chip and bioinformatics have promoted environmental proteomics rapidly. The summarization of environmental proteomics knowledge, main techniques for the examination of pollutant molecular toxicities, and interaction principle between pollutant and proteomic would be an outstanding milestone to protect human and environmental health.
