Abstract
In this paper, pure steady natural convection with uniform internal heat generation as well as time evolution of multicellular flows in various aspect ratios are examined as function of Grashof number and the angle of inclination. It is shown that the steady state is not reached for several cases, including some at higher angle of inclination and lower aspect ratios. For the cases of smaller angle of inclination, with increasing Grashof number convection evolves from steady state to chaotic state showing a sequence of bifurcations with periodic, quasiperiodic regimes. In some cases, chaotic regime appears twice, being intercepted by periodic and quasiperiodic regimes.
