Abstract

A combination of Venturi scrubber and square wave anodic stripping voltammetry detector was constructed for pre-concentrating and monitoring of ambient, airborne lead traces. Feasibility studies of such an analytical scheme have shown high sensitivity to detection of lead contamination. The approach could be readily engineered to be operational in an on-line mode. This way, certain inconveniences associated with ordinary filter sampling techniques are largely reduced.
